Digitalization and ICT can make an important contribution to the energy transition and climate protection. The “DigAT-2040” study examined the effects of digitalization on energy consumption and the climate in Austria. The results show above all the positive effect that the use of simulations, for example, has:
Eight applications account for approximately 80% of the net effects of digitalization applications on energy savings and 70% of the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. These eight applications, which the study authors believe should also be prioritized, include simulation (and digital twin).
The advantages of simulations are manifold: They increase comprehensibility and the probability of success, they reduce errors and they conserve resources. And they make a significant contribution to making your own company more sustainable. EXARON therefore stands not only for MAKING INDUSTRIAL COMPLEXITY VISIBLE, but also for ENABLING SUSTAINABILITY.
