“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” A quote from Benjamin Franklin that has become more true and important than ever in the age of digitalization. The immersion made possible by the use of Extended Reality (XR) technologies creates a completely new level of involvement and engagement of the learner. But if training is to be truly effective, then another component is needed: emotion. Game-based learning exploits the neural connection between emotion and cognition. So why not use the fun, which (let's be honest) usually only begins after work, to train assembly activities, maintenance work, safety instructions or onboarding?

XR training stands for many things: user experience, focus, learning success, reproducibility and risk minimization as well as independence from time, place, language barriers and real objects.

XR training also means increased employee availability, shortened commissioning times, reduced service activities, increased employer branding and retention management, differentiation from the competition and ultimately increased resilience and economic success.

Not convinced yet? Then ask yourself the following questions:
> Written instructions and training videos are state-of-the-art methods for quickly and effectively learning complex work steps that can then be carried out accurately?
> Do you have enough skilled workers or are they available 24/7 to carry out recurring service tasks for customers or to train new employees in standard tasks?

If you're shaking your head, you should contact EXARON. We specialize in industrial XR training, as the example of a service case (belt replacement) shows. In a joint pilot project, you can see for yourself the benefits of XR training.
